The British Association for Surgery of the Knee is a professional association for British orthopaedic surgeons with a special interest in the knee. Most British knee surgeons will belong to this organisation.

Specialist knee surgery society

Most developed countries have their own specialist knee society. Members will generally also belong to an international society, eg. ISAKOS.

Membership is exclusive and is generally approved only after recommendation from two or more existing members.

Society members meet one or more times a year to present papers and attend skills workshops, and the material is generally published and distributed to members.
