Hip extensions

This video shows hip extensions using ankle weights.

 


 

If you are unable to view the video, here is a still sequence of the exercise -

hip extensions Relax on your stomach on a firm surface. Ankle weights can be used to increase the exercise resistance.
hip extensions With the knee straight, raise the first leg up, moving from the hip.
hip extensions Relax both legs together again.
hip extensions Then raise the other leg. Repeat the sequence 10 times.
