Hip abduction

This video demonstrates a hip abduction exercise.

 


 

If you are unable to view the video, here is a still sequence of the exercise -

hip abduction Stand upright supporting your one hand on the back of a chair.
hip abduction Keeping an upright stance and the weight on the one leg, raise the other leg slowly to the side.
hip abduction Hold it in this position.
hip abduction Then slowly lower it again.
hip abduction Repeat the sequence 10 times.
