Endobutton

An endobutton is a fixation device to secure the upper end of a hamstrings graft during the procedure of cruciate ligament reconstruction.

It is like an elongated button, and is tied to a strip of polyethylene tape, which is looped around the harvested hamstrings graft. Lengthwise it is easily pulled through the tunnel but is turned onto its side when it emerges at the far end of the tunnel, where it locks the ligament in place against the bone.
