DeLee osteotomy

A surgical procedure to improve the position of the patella when it has become too low.

This involves releasing the lower end of the patella tendon and its attachment, and sliding it upwards to release the tension on the patellar tendon. This is a salvage procedure in cases of patella infera, for example as a consequence of anterior interval arthrofibrosis.
