Replays of past events
WEBINAR
Diagnosing the cause of an acutely locked knee
On demand
*Please note that this is a replay of a live event. Questions were asked and answered during the original event, but there is no live moderator during this replay.
TOPIC

Professor Paul Lee is double board certified in Orthopaedic surgery and Sports Medicine, he has a specialist interest in regenerative surgery and cell based medicine. Prof Lee has successfully applied his research to clinical use; treated UK premiership footballers for muscle injuries which significantly reduced their time for recovery and return to play. He has treated sports injuries in high-level athletes and lectures to elite sports teams since 2010.
WEBINAR
Managing Arthritic Pain and Knee Injury
On demand
*Please note that this is a replay of a live event. Questions were asked and answered during the original event, but there is no live moderator during this replay.
TOPIC
Mr Raghbir Khakha discusses the consequences of arthritis in the knee. He takes questions at the end of the webinar.PRESENTER
Mr Raghbir Khakha is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with an exclusive interest in disorders of the knee. He has vast expertise in knee joint preservation surgery including cartilage repair, ligament reconstruction and osteotomy surgery. He has been fellowship trained in unicompartmental joint replacement, total knee replacement and revision of failed joint replacement surgery.
WEBINAR
Indications for partial knee replacement
On demand
Orthopaedic knee and hip specialist, Mr Rishi Chana, discusses when a partial knee replacement might be preferred over a total knee replacement.
*Please note that this is a replay of a live event. Questions were asked and answered during the original event, but there is no live moderator during this replay.
TOPIC
Mr Chana explains the concepts of knee compartments, and illustrates via images, X-rays and scans those clinical features of knee arthritis that suggest the disease is confined to one compartment and therefore possibly suitable for a partial knee replacement. He goes on to describe his preferred technique of Makoplasty. He takes questions at the end of the webinar.PRESENTER
Mr Rishi Chana is a dedicated Knee and Hip surgeon with a passion for preservation of the natural joint. He is fellowship qualified in keyhole (arthroscopic) techniques for hip and knee injuries and cartilage repair as well as joint replacement surgery. WEBINAR
ACi ten years on - continuing to innovate in cartilage repair
On demand
Orthopaedic and sports medicine specialist, Professor Paul Lee, discusses the way in which ACI has progressed over the last decade.
*Please note that this is a replay of a live event. Questions were asked and answered during the original event, but there is no live moderator during this replay.
TOPIC
ACi is an abbreviation of Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation. This is a proven cartilage repair procedure which has been available for over two decades. It is valuable for patients who have a large, but circumscribed, defect in their cartilage - usually of the femoral condyle or rounded end of the femur bone. Professor Lee explains how the procedure has evolved over the years, and the current surgical innovations.PRESENTER
Professor Paul Lee is double board certified in Orthopaedic surgery. He has a specialist interest in sports, regenerative surgery and cell based medicine. He has treated sports injuries in high-level athletes and has been offering performance medicine consultations, treatment and lectures to elite sports teams since 2010.
WEBINAR
Is a bucket-handle tear of the meniscus a surgical emergency?
On demand
Orthopaedic surgeon and knee specialist Kirti Moholkar discusses the issues of a bucket-handle tear of the meniscus.
*Please note that this is a replay of a live event. Questions were asked and answered during the original event, but there is no live moderator during this replay.
TOPIC
A bucket-handle tear of the meniscus is a longitudinal tear where the torn fragment resembles the handle of a bucket, and can flip over to lock the knee in flexion. Mr Kirti Moholkar gives his opinion as to whether or not this is a surgical emergency.
PRESENTER
Dr (Mr) Kirti Moholkar has completed a fellowship from the United States of America and a Sports Fellowship from Australia.
