Poor rehabilitation from a TTT/TTO with MPFL Reconstruction

I am looking to see if anyone has had a TTT to cure patela alta at the same time as having an MPFL reconstruction.

The reason I ask is due to having the surgery on the 16th May, currently I am 2 days into the recovery. The pain is bearable and the swelling is plentiful.

The issue I have is that I have been told to work on the range of movement straight away. However, whe I am working through thebending motion of the knee, I get between 10 and 20 degrees of the bend and the knee pops from the medial side to a more central location. This is causing me some distress as this feels very strange and cant be right.

Can anyone advise if they have experienced the same? Is it due to the tightness of the joint and the swelling? Slightly freaking out!

Any advice is welcomed.

Ryan
