Have had double replacement in 2004, single replacement of left knee in 2007. Five weeks of vancimician while waiting for relplacement in 07.   Right knee quit swelling untill this year,now both are swelling again. My Doc took new x-rays compaired to last time, everything looks good with hardware, sugested getting another opinion. Has anyone ever had this and who could we contact to get it fixed? Have been tested for alergic to metal plastic. Nothing.

Hey folks finally got my date for surgery.  Its going to be Oct 15.  Im going to be in the hospital for about 3-4 days.  Mostly for the reason of pain control but also they want to keep an eye on my heart and make sure Im ok after such a big surgery.

Still going stir crazy.  I miss working....I think my mind is gone.  I think Ive got cabin flu or something like that....ok Ive stopped freaking out....Im good now.  Going out with a friend for lunch today so that will get me out of the house.  Been having alot more pain the last few days.  This is day 5 of rain off and on.

Having referred to this site for the last 2 years and read through all the comments, blogs and advice given on this site, I have finally decided to write my own blog.

I have seen all episodes of the inbetweeners, read two dan brown books, seen 3 really bad films, and was thinking of seeing 24 (I must be the only person who has never seen it before)

I am 2nd day post my ACL operation (Hamstring Graft). My knee is starting to get a little bit better after 2 days of uncomfort..Its been a bit of journey to get here.

Well woke up in an irritated mood.  I think the stress of all this is wearing on me and those I live with.  The main thing is Im tired of waiting, Im tired of my knee coming out, Im tired of not being able to do much.  Im used to being active and I spend my whole day now on the computer or on the couch with either heat or ice on my knee.  It keeps subluxating and it kinda feels weird/painful when the patella keeps snapping back in position.  I want to do more with the kids at church but cant right now.  I cant wait for me to be back on my feet without having to

hi all, on my third knee op, have had debridement 8yrs ago, then microfracture 4yrs ago, i twisted my knee and it popped dec, os says he found meniscus tear which he trimmed and did further debridement this was 4wks ago and am concerned due to still being on crutches and not being able to weight bear, physio says keep doing exercises but after knee feels a lot worse, has anyone had expirience of this, am concerned incase any internal damage has occured during last op, also cant see surgeon untill october, look forward to any feedback..Kelvin
