Anterior interval release

An anterior interval release is a surgical procedure to remove scar tissue in the 'anterior interval'.

The ‘anterior interval’ is the region of the knee behind (posterior to) the fat pad and in front of (anterior to) the tibia bone (anterior tibial plateau). It may become scarred during the abnormal healing process known as arthrofibrosis.
